Each year, members of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in Colombia go on missions to accompany Catholic communities as they celebrate Holy Week and prepare to celebrate Easter. Some of these communities are very remote and are only visited by a priest a few times a year. This year the MSC are accompanying communities in the Departments (states) of Casanare, Cauca, Cundinamarca, and Huila.

While out on a mission, our priests and seminarians spend time visiting families and getting to know people’s life situations and also prepare religious education classes for couples, children, young adults and adults. We hope that this year's missions will be a time to reflect on the Passion, recognizing that the world continues to suffer just as Jesus did, but above all that it will be a time of discovery of the signs of life and hope that are now present in many communities.

May God bless, protect and accompany our missionaries in Colombia and around the world.
