Dancing the Night Away at the Viennese BallOn Sunday, May 4, we celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the Viennese Ball at the Days Inn and Conference Center inFr. Mike Camilli, MSC,with Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki Allentown, PA. Over 300 people joined us for the affair including many MSC from around the Province. Joining us from Provincial headquarters were Fathers Joe Jablonski and Phil De Rea along with Sharon Sehie, Mary Bannon, Linda Bagnuolo, and Sue Springborn. The latter group helped us with some finishing touches for the Ball. (Thank you so much ladies!). They also made a visit to St. John the Baptist parish, as well as a quick visit to the MSC Sisters in Reading. On the day of their arrival, Mike Camilli hosted them to an “introductions dinner” at the San Marco Club in Reading (Temple), as guests of Mr. Fred Giorgi, CEO and owner of Giorgio Foods, Inc. and his son, Peter Giorgi and his wife, Kathy. Peter and Kathy also graced our Ball the following Sunday and were featured as Queen and King of the Ball.

As guests arrived in the lobby of the Ballroom, they were greeted by the lovely sounds of violins by the Perkiomen High School Strings Ensemble, playing the various delightful waltzes from the German masters. Also in cooperation with the Development Office in Aurora, each guest was given a delicately engraved commemorative wine glass for the occasion, compliments of the MSC, to accompany their dinner of German Wiener Schnitzel, as well as, to join in the singing of the traditional toast, “Ein Prosit.” Providing music from 3 - 9 p.m. were the Valley Pops Orchestra, the Walt Groller Orchestra, and Mr. George Batman. Our special thanks to our dedicated Committee of 35 years, all of our generous patrons, as well as, all who joined us for this important fund-raiser.
