Fr. Peter holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and in 1985 was licensed and nationally certified as a clinical counselor. He co-founded and wrote the manuals for a retreat program called Life's Healing Journey (LHJ) which currently brings healing to many people and families living in the Diocese of Joliet, Diocese of Rockford, and Archdiocese of Chicago. There are currently three LHJ retreats: Life's Healing Weekend, Healing Childhood Hurts, and The Spiritual Journey. The Life's Healing Weekend is also offered several times a year in Spanish. Fr. Peter conducted Life's Healing Journey retreats for 29 years and although he has recently retired as the director, he remains involved in retreat ministry today.

April 16, 2008 - Fr. Peter Campbell, MSC was the recipient of the 2008 Family Ministry Award conferred by Region VII (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana) of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministries. Fr. Peter received this award in recognition of his many years of compassionate ministry to families.
