Gangs are one of the most important peace issues facing the Unit­ed States today. The problem may seem overwhelming, but there are many con­crete actions that we can take as parents, teachers, mentors and friends. One of the most important things we can do is teach our children good decision making skills, to help them be able to make the right choices. We can also take an active role in our children’s lives and involve them in positive group activities.
