Social Justice Monthly Newsletter JPIC Corner is a monthly social justice E-Newsletter of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. It is sent free of charge to persons who ask to receive it. This issue focuses on the importance of hope and solidarity as we continue the work for justice. Articles include "A Lesson of Hope from Haiti," "Hope and Justice," and "3 Ways to Show Solidarity in Everyday Life".
An introduction to the Culture of Life. Focus on respecting life without judging people. Resources for a healthy pregnancy and for women facing an unexpected pregnancy, suggestions for how to respond to a loved one who is facing a crisis pregnancy or is emotionally affected by abortion, and much more.
Focus on solidarity, community outreach and community building. Find out some of the ways that MSC help build stronger communities and get ideas for how you can join the labor for peace through community outreach.
Gratitude and the importance of volunteering. Special focus on hunger and homelessness, particularly in the United States.
Focuses on the blessings and challenges of age. Approaches aging from spiritual perspective and also has information about age related issues such as age discrimination and maltreatment of older adults. Last two pages focus on domestic violence (especially in relation to immigrants, cohabitation and religion) and teen dating abuse.
Gangs are one of the most important peace issues facing the United States today. Check out this issue for information about why youth join gangs, how gangs recruit new members, and ways you can get involved.
