Our Reunion in Ohio was a big success! Thank you for your support and prayers. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces.
On July 23rd, we visited and toured our former seminary in Shelby, OH. We also gathered at our MSC Cemetery for a prayer service, honoring all our deceased MSC. The day ended with a fabulous pot-luck dinner prepared by our former auxiliary members, under the direction of Dorothy Blum. All of us MSC who were there did an individual presentation on where we have been since leaving Ohio and our current ministries. People loved to hear our stories and updates. We were glad to catch up with these special friends after so many years.
The following day, about 200 people greeted us in Canton, OH, where we served in St. Paul’s and St. Mary’s parishes. We had a fantastic pig roast organized by Br. Frank Natale’s parents, Jerrie and Denny. We made many new friends that day.
On July 25th we went to Youngstown, OH, where our former novitiate and retreat house used to be. Once again, we were greeted with warm welcomes. Attorney Gary Zamary and his friends provided us with an excellent supper. It was good to see some of our lay members as well as those with whom we served for many years. It was great to share our stories and memories.
To all of our friends, alumni and benefactors, we are fortunate to have you in our lives, and we love hearing from you. Please know that we pray for you daily. You keep us going in our ministry as Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. We pray and hope that you continue to help us through your prayers and support for more vocations and for our missionary work here and abroad.
