One way that Our Lady of the Sacred Heart helps us draw closer to the Sacred Heart is through her own example.

In this age of the Sacred Heart, when we think of con­secration to, imitation of, and reparation to the Sa­cred Heart of Our Lord, where could we hope to find a more perfect model than Mary, the Mother of God, the great lover of the Sacred Heart. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart is indeed the most perfect disciple, the most ardent apostle…. Her whole life was lived in in­timate union with Her Divine Son; her life and virtues were modeled on the life and virtues of Our Lord and His Sacred Heart.
