image: missing piecePuzzled? Where do I fit into God's plan? is a retreat sponsored by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart for single men ages 18-30.

Dates: August 21-25, 2012

Cost: A donation of $50 is requested to help cover expenses.

Participants should bring a Bible, a notebook and a pen or pencil.

The retreat will consist of input, conversation, sharing and praying over the following themes:

  • my family of origin and background as the context of my faith experience
  • the religious family experience of the M.S.C.
  • images of God and how do I pray?
  • God's desire for me; virtues and vices
  • methods of prayer and discernment

It will also include visits with Religious, priests, permanent deacons, and committed lay people who will share their faith-life experiences so as to help each participant in their search. There will be prayer times, Liturgy and availability for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Welcoming and orientation will begin on Tuesday evening, August 21 (please let us know if you will arrive in time for dinner). The retreat ends with the celebration of the deacon ordination of Frank Natale, M.S.C. at noon on August 25 at St. Joseph Parish Shrine in Chicago. Transportation to and from the event will be provided.

Meals and accommodations will be at the M.S.C. residence, 305 S. Lake St. Aurora, IL 60507.
