The celebration of Earth Day reminds us of our call to be good stewards of God's creation. We are called to take care of the earth, and to use her resources well and for the benefit of all people, not just a few. Creation is sacramental, i.e. God is "present and speaks in the dynamic life forces of our universe and planet as well as in our own lives." (Care for Creation.Alberta Bishops' Letter on Ecology, 10/04/1998) This Earth Day,may we renew our commitment to love, honor and respect our earthly home, not only for ourselves but also for future generations.
