 Today is Human Rights Day, which marks the anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948). We ask you to join us in prayer for our leaders, our nations and the international community, that they may find ways to protect and uphold the dignity and rights of all people, especially the most vulnerable. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, may we also allow ourselves to become instruments of His love, helping to build the Kingdom of God in our own little corner of the world by living the values of peace, justice, love, healing, and reconciliation. |
