Missionaries of the Sacred

On Sunday, December 15, 2009, several Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) participated in the Advent Reunion at St Edward Parish Hall, Youngstown, OH. The gathering was a welcome opportunity to keep in touch with several of our long-time friends and supporters. The event was organized by Fr. Vince Freeh, MSC who is the spiritual director for the Lay MSC in Ohio. (Although the MSC no longer have a religious community presence there, there is a group of Lay MSC in Ohio.)

Lay MSC members Gary and Cheryl Zamary and Stephen Garchar made the arrangements for the meeting and meal. Several MSC who had previously served in Ohio attended: Br. John Peralta, Fr. Joe Gleixner, Fr. Peter Campbell, Fr. Vince Freeh and Fr Andrew Torma. During the Prayer Service, Fr. Andrew and Fr. Peter were asked to speak about the vocation and retreat ministries of the MSC. It was wonderful to see and spend time with faithful friends.
