Human life is a precious gift and today we are reminded of our call to foster a culture of life, to work to uphold the dignity of each person, from the moment of conception to natural death. Let us renew our commitment to work together to protect the dignity and rights of all people through advocacy and direct assistance and by promoting just, life-affirming and family friendly social policies.   We pray today especially for all mothers who face a difficult or unexpected pregnancy. May they receive the material and emotional support they need to choose life, especially from their families and the father of their child.
