Driven by the Spirit…and tempted.
We all have our inner demons that tempt us. We need to face them. They are often the demons of self-doubt and fear. To face them we need some time alone. Taking time alone with God is an excellent Lenten practice. The Spirit of God will lead us into the wilderness and guide and strengthen us as we combat whatever stands in the way of our fulfilling our mission on earth. All of us are tempted. The Gospel shows us that temptations can not only be overcome, but actually can serve to help us to clarify our values and strengthen our resolve to live the Christ-life we received at baptism.
