- Teenagers who have a baby are less likely to be married at the age of 35 than women who did not have a child when they were in their teens.
- Nearly 33% of cohabiting couples split up within 5 years of the birth of their first child, compared to 16% of married couples.
- Less than 1/3 (30%) of teen mothers who marry after the birth their child were still in that marriage at the age of 40.
