A Brother’s perspective:
“Who do people say the Son of man is?”
This is a good question to ponder during our Lenten sojourn and hopefully one that we will be able to answer by the time we complete our life here on this beautiful earth that God has created for us.
In the first reading, Peter gives us a hint on what will help us – “give a shepherd’s care to the flock of God that is entrusted to you.” Although Peter is putting this to the ‘elders’, I think it is relevant to each of us who have been baptized. For myself, I look at my life and the many acts of encounter that I have with others. This started in my formation as a MSC, where we were given our spirituality and charism which led me to the Heart of Christ. I was able to grow into this belief in Jesus from my interactions with others. Look to those whom you are in care of and try to look more deeply into who they are to you. You will then be on your way to answering the question of who the Son of man is.
