To our MSC community, friends, and family,
It is with great sadness that we hear of the news of the death of Pope Francis. We all have our memories of how he touched our lives. I had the graced blessing of meeting him twice on the occasions of our MSC General Chapters in 2017 and 2023. He was so gracious, and I will always remember his humble smile. He called us MSC to live our charism of Jesus’ mercy, compassion and love to all. May we be faithful to our vows in living out that call as religious.
Let us pray that, as Pope Francis often spoke of God as a merciful Father, His mercy will be shown to his faithful servant.
Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord. And may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen, alleluia!
