As the saying goes, “better late than never”! On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the MSC’s staff Christmas party was celebrated at the MSC Community House in Center Valley, PA. The party, originally scheduled for January, had to be postponed due to covid. But they got it done and done well!
The early evening started with delicious hors d’oeuvres made and served by the House Cook Eric Lipscomb with drinks and good cheer. Brother Francis Hung Nguyen and his guitar gathered everyone shortly before the sit-down dinner for some gleeful singing. All the residents, staff, and their friends and family joined in before a drawing for beautifully wrapped gifts were handed out by Br. Hung with the assistance of Kim Titler, finance and bookkeeping. The happy hour ended with the song “We Are the World” which moved everyone singing along with joined hands to feel the spirit of togetherness.
After prayers of thanksgiving led by the MSC Provincial, Michael Miller, MSC, we moved to the dining hall for a delicious dinner prepared by the catering staff from DeSales University. We finished with cake and an ice cream ‘buffet’ bar. Everyone had a great time and is surely grateful to the planners, cooks, and servers!
